Before you begin at any level, you’ll want to have a general idea of the story you want to share.

As you consider this process, ask yourself: Who do you want to create a book about? And who is it for? Do you have a good idea of the stories you want to share, and do you have easy access to the pictures you may want to scan, copy, or download to include in the making of your book?

Before signing up, you’ll want to be as organized as possible. When you sign up, you’ll be contacted by a member of Deep Earth Press for an initial meeting that guides you in the formatting and structure of your book, after which the first third of our 90-day process is you getting your story and photos together for what comes next (what we do!)

This is a 90-day service, broken down into three segments or “deadlines.” Our 90-day process is split up into three sections: the first where you gather your stories and images, the second where we produce a draft, and the third when we finalize and produce your book. (Please note this does not guarantee physical delivery of your book, as production estimates will vary depending on industry variables.)

You’ll have a deadline each month of the way, so when you sign up know that this is an interactive and collaborative process with us! We’ll send you introductory materials, guidance, and checklists to help you along the way! Please note that if you miss your deadlines along the way, you’ll be required to pay an additional fee for an extension. All this means is you’ll want to be organized and have an idea of the story you want to tell when you come to us to begin! We understand how sacred of a process this is for you and we appreciate you considering our assistance in keeping these stories alive.

Please note: as of our first month in production, we’re offering our packages in a limited quantity to maintain a reasonable pace!
